The rules: List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 facts about yourself. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog!
Joys:
- Being in my thirties. I LOVE growing up.
- Being a mother. It is life changing.
- Knowing that I have a Savior, who knows me and loves me, through whom hope springs eternal.
Fears:
- That something is really wrong with me because the easiest part of this exercise was listing my obsessions AND it required restraint to list only 3...
- That some (all!) of my weaknesses and shortcomings and trials may turn out to be lifelong struggles instead of hurdles that are overcome in mortality. Come on!
- Monkeys. Willy Wonka. Alice in Wonderland. Soap left on dishes.
Goals:
- Brush up on my Russian and learn German. (Hello, Vienna)
- Get in shape for a trip to Greece next summer
- Develop more patience and compassion
Obsessions/Collections:
- Children's clothes. For some reason, I constantly worry about having enough to meet any weather or activity clothing need. Rainboots? Check. For this year and next. Church clothes? Check. For the next 3 years. Camping? Check. School? Check. Freak snow in August? Check.
- Balancing my checkbook. Down to the penny everyday.
- Reading. I can't go a day without reading. I'll buy books with my last dollar and spend hours in a book store. I carry books in my purse and have one in my car door. I walk around with paperbacks tucked under my arm while I work in the house (as I firmly believe in bursts of work followed by breaks). And, frankly, it's mostly about love. Occassionally I read autobiographies or American history or psychology or a classic or contemporary novel or non-fiction that Has Something To Say, but when push comes to shove... Ahhhhh. Darcy. Or vampires. Do NOT tell me ANYTHING about Breaking Dawn. Stupid Serbian mail. I won't get it for weeks!
- I take a shower the same way every time. Every bit gets washed in order.
- I love country music and cheesy movies.
- I love collecting recipes and always hit my friends up for their good recipes (hint, hint), but not because I like cooking. I love to bake, but actually don't like cooking at all. What I love is eating good food!
I tag: Trish, Shanna, Michele (in an effort to get her to remember her blog *wink*), Azure, and Charish
